Coral is a high-street name, and the temptation is to treat the brand as the company. It is not. The domain coral.co.uk resolves in the Gambling Commission register to <strong>LC International Limited</strong>, account 54743, and that company also holds the licences behind Ladbrokes, PartyCasino, PartyPoker, bwin, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Foxy Bingo, Foxy Games, Cheeky Bingo and Sportingbet.

That matters for a practical reason. Every promise made to you — how quickly you are paid, how a dispute is handled, how the operator decides you are gambling too much — is made by that company, under that licence, and applies across all of those brands. If you have had a problem at Ladbrokes, you have had a problem with the company that runs Coral.

It matters for a second reason too: self-exclusion. Set a deposit limit before your first deposit rather than after. Every British licensee must offer them; the enforcement history above is a reminder that the operator noticing on your behalf is not something to count on.
