Blackjack Casinos: Named Tables, the Rules That Set the Edge
Blackjack is the one casino table game where your decisions change the price, and the rules of the table change it far more than your decisions do. This page lists the casinos whose own lobby page names three or more blackjack tables, with the titles and the date we read them, and sets out the arithmetic that decides what a hand costs: payout, insurance, side bets and the studio's published return.
The rule, not our mood
A casino appears here when its own live-casino or games page, as we read it, names at least three different blackjack titles. The titles and the date of the reading are shown for each one.

The blackjack casinos in detail
Why these sites clear the rule above — and the one thing to watch before you sign up. Casinos without a note below are in the list on the same rule; we simply have nothing to add beyond the figures in the table.
MrQ — four tables, and the return figure printed beside one
MrQ names four blackjack titles: Free Bet Blackjack, Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Blackjack and ONE Blackjack. Its live page also prints a return-to-player figure for Infinite Blackjack, 99.47%, read on 25 August 2026. That is the casino's statement of the return for a player using the correct basic strategy, which leaves 0.53% as the edge, and it is among the lowest of any table game.
PokerStars Casino — 11 titles that cover the main formats
PokerStars Casino names 11 blackjack titles: Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Speed Blackjack, Power Blackjack, Mega Fire Blackjack and its own PokerStars Blackjack among them. It is a compact list that includes the formats most players ask for, which makes it easy to compare a standard table with the variants without hunting. Page read 26 September 2026.
Slotboss — 19 titles, 15 of them shared with another casino
SlotBoss names 19 blackjack titles, among them Infinite Bet Stacker Blackjack, Power Blackjack, Easy Blackjack and a set of Exclusive tables. Fifteen of its titles also appear on 21.co.uk's page, which points to one shared platform behind two brands. It does not make either list worse, but it does mean the choice between them is a choice of bonus and terms, not of tables. Page read 19 September 2026.
21.co.uk — 21 titles, and the longest list of branded tables
The live-casino page of 21.co.uk names 21 blackjack titles: Infinite Blackjack and Mega Fire Blaze Blackjack next to private-label tables such as Bellagio Blackjack, MGM Exclusive Blackjack and a run of Sveasviten tables. Branded tables are the same studio game under a casino's name, so the useful question is what the table's rules are, not what it is called. Our record lists five live studios for it. Page read 19 September 2026.
Jackpotjoy — seven titles, shared word for word with two sister sites
Jackpotjoy names seven blackjack titles, including Bond Street Blackjack, Madison Avenue Blackjack, Signature Blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Lightning Blackjack and Power Blackjack. Monopoly Casino and Virgin Games list the same table names, minus one on each. That points to a common platform behind the three, so a player who finds one lobby comfortable will find the other two the same, and the difference between them is the offer and the terms around it. Page read 25 August 2026.
Spin Casino — software tables with the Switch variant, not live dealers
Spin Casino names seven blackjack titles, and the titles read as software games rather than live tables: Atlantic City Blackjack Gold, Vegas Strip Blackjack Switch, Classic Blackjack Switch and multi-hand versions. Blackjack Switch lets you swap the second card between two hands in exchange for rule changes, including even money on a natural and a push when the dealer makes 22. Those changes move the edge, so check the table's rules before assuming it matches a standard one. Page read 19 September 2026.
What sets the price of a blackjack hand
Roulette's edge is fixed by the wheel. Blackjack's is set by a handful of rules the table can change, and your decisions on top. A player using the correct basic strategy at a standard table gives up well under one per cent. The same player at a table with worse rules can give up around two. The table shows what moves it.
| Rule or feature | Effect on the player | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack pays 3 to 2 instead of 6 to 5 | Costs 1.42% a hand at six decks: a natural comes up 4.75% of hands and 6 to 5 takes 0.3 off every one | The table's payout line or rules panel |
| Insurance (2 to 1 against a dealer ten) | Costs 7.40% on the insurance stake at six decks: it is a separate bet and loses on average | Offered when the dealer shows an ace |
| Side bets (pairs, 21+3, and similar) | Priced separately and at a much higher edge than the main hand | The side-bet payout table in the game |
| Published return of the game | Infinite Blackjack: 99.47% per MrQ, so a 0.53% edge with correct strategy | The casino's or studio's game information |
The 6 to 5 and insurance figures are calculated exactly for a six-deck shoe, not read from a casino. The 99.47% is MrQ's own statement, read on 25 August 2026.
The first row is the one to remember. A 6 to 5 table looks like a small rewording of 3 to 2 and costs more than any strategy mistake you are likely to make. Where a table pays 6 to 5, the right response is to leave it.
How often a natural comes up
A natural is an ace with a ten-value card in the first two cards. It is rare, and its frequency depends on the number of decks: fewer decks make it slightly more likely. The effect of the payout rule above follows directly from it.
| Decks in the shoe | Chance of a natural | Cost of 6 to 5 instead of 3 to 2 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4.83% | 1.45% |
| 2 | 4.78% | 1.43% |
| 4 | 4.76% | 1.43% |
| 6 | 4.75% | 1.42% |
| 8 | 4.75% | 1.42% |
Calculated exactly from the deck composition: two times the share of aces times the share of ten-value cards in what remains.
Basic strategy in a page
Basic strategy is the set of decisions that gives the lowest edge for a given rule set, worked out from every possible hand. It does not depend on luck or on what has been dealt. The core rules below hold across the common live-table rule sets; the in-game strategy card or a printed chart settles the remaining cases for a specific table.
- Hit any hard total of eight or less and stand on hard 17 or more.
- Against a dealer 2 or 3, hit a hard 12; against a 4, 5 or 6, stand on 12 to 16; against a 7 or higher, hit 12 to 16.
- Double a hard 11 against anything but an ace at most tables, a hard 10 against a dealer 2 to 9, and a hard 9 against a dealer 3 to 6.
- Always split aces and eights. Never split tens or fives.
- Never take insurance, and never take "even money" on a natural: it is the same bet.
- Treat side bets as entertainment you pay for, not part of the strategy.
Following strategy does not make blackjack a winning game; it makes it the cheapest table game in the lobby. Departing from it, hitting a stiff hand on a hunch or standing on 16 because the table looks cold, costs more than most side-bet losses do.
The variants you will see in a lobby
Live lobbies add a layer of formats on top of the classic game, most of them from a handful of studios. They change the experience more than the maths of the main hand, but a few change the payout table, and it is worth knowing which.
- Infinite Blackjack lets an unlimited number of players sit at one table and play their own hand against a common dealer hand; the rules are those of a standard table.
- Free Bet Blackjack pays for your doubles and most splits in exchange for a rule that pushes your hand when the dealer makes 22. The free bets are not free in the maths: the 22 rule gives the money back.
- Lightning Blackjack and similar formats add randomly chosen multipliers on top of the base game and price them into the payout table.
- Speed Blackjack runs the same game on a shorter decision clock, which raises the hands per hour and so the cost per hour.
- Bet Behind and similar features let players without a seat stake on a seated player's hand and make no decisions of their own.
- Blackjack Switch, mostly a software game, lets you swap the top cards of two hands for rule changes: a natural pays even money, and a dealer 22 pushes.
Counting cards online
Card counting works by tracking the cards that have left a shoe. It needs a shoe that is dealt down before it is shuffled, and many online tables, particularly the infinite formats, reshuffle or use a continuous shoe, which removes the information counting depends on. Where a conventional shoe exists, a casino may refuse a player it suspects of counting. For a game played for fun at modest stakes, none of this is worth the effort; basic strategy is the entire edge available.
Blackjack and bonus wagering
Blackjack is one of the games that contributes least towards wagering. Many terms count table games at a small fraction of the stake or exclude them, and some treat low-risk play patterns as grounds to void a bonus. £100 of blackjack may clear a few pounds of the requirement or none, which makes a bonus one of the more expensive things you can bring to this table.
The terms are in the promotion's own small print, and they are applied after the deposit clears. If you intend to play blackjack, check the weighting line first, or play without a bonus. Our guide to the terms that void winnings lists the clauses to look for.
Staying within your limits
Blackjack rewards patience and punishes tilt. The tools that help are set before you start: a deposit limit, a reality check at an interval you choose and a time-out if a session is running past its plan. Every UK-licensed casino must offer them, and they are worth more than any strategy chart.
If gambling is causing harm, GAMSTOP excludes you from every UK-licensed online casino at once, and the National Gambling Helpline is free and open every day. Our responsible gambling page lists the services with their numbers and hours.
What the whole catalogue looks like behind this list
A category page shows the casinos that meet one rule. It is worth knowing what the rest of the catalogue looks like on the measures that apply to all of them, because those are the facts a single rule cannot capture.
We hold 59 British-licensed casinos here, every one of them resolving in the Gambling Commission register to a named licensee with an active licence — that is the entry condition for appearing in any list on this site, including this one. Of those, 47 have had their own banking, help, terms and responsible-gambling pages read by us, and the average casino has 47.6 of our hundred rating points assessed. Where that figure falls below 40 we publish no score out of ten — a number built from a fraction of the method describes our reading rather than the casino — and print how many of the checks we could run were passed instead.
The disclosure picture across those 59 operators is the part most worth carrying into any category. 40 name an alternative dispute resolution provider on their own pages — the only stage of a complaint where somebody independent can order an operator to pay. 12 name an independent testing house. 3 publish a return-to-player figure anywhere, which is the number that decides what playing actually costs. 32 publish the verification documents they will ask for, and 14 say when they will ask for them.
On the regulator's side, 38 of the 59 have a Gambling Commission enforcement case published in the last five years against the company behind them, or against their site under an earlier licensee. Across the whole mirrored feed that is 74 cases totalling £149,654,854, and each one appears on the review of every brand that licensee operates — including any that appear in the list above. A penalty against a company is a fact about all of its brands, not only the one named in the headline.
Of the welcome offers we have read in full, 23 carry a recorded date on their terms and 12 attach no wagering requirement at all. That second figure is the one worth remembering when a large headline bonus appears next to a small one: the small offer with no wagering is frequently worth more.
Our verdict on blackjack casinos
Choose the rules before the casino. A 3 to 2 table, played to basic strategy and without insurance, is among the cheapest bets in any lobby; a 6 to 5 table is among the dearest, and no bonus makes up the difference. Use the titles to see what a lobby holds, read the return the game prints, and treat the welcome offer as something that rarely suits this table.
