Roulette Casinos: Named Tables, the Odds and What Each Wheel Costs
Every casino says it has roulette. The useful questions are which wheel, which variant, and what each spin costs you over a session. This page lists the casinos whose own lobby page names three or more roulette tables, shows the titles it named and the day we read them, and then gives the arithmetic that no cashier page prints: the house edge of every wheel and bet.
The rule, not our mood
A casino appears here when its own live-casino or games page, as we read it, names at least three different roulette titles. The titles and the date of the reading are shown for each one.

The roulette casinos in detail
Why these sites clear the rule above — and the one thing to watch before you sign up. Casinos without a note below are in the list on the same rule; we simply have nothing to add beyond the figures in the table.
LuckyMate — 24 roulette titles named, from a floor of 232 live tables
LuckyMate's live-casino page names 24 different roulette titles, among them Lightning Roulette, Immersive Roulette Deluxe, Mega Roulette 3000, Speed Roulette and Quantum Roulette, and credits six studios: Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech Live, Ezugi, StakeLogic Live and Creedroomz. That is the widest choice of wheels on this list for a casino that also carries one of the higher scores in the catalogue. The caution is the usual one for a big lobby: more titles mostly means more game-show variants, so read which wheel you are sitting at before you stake. Page read 19 September 2026.
Pub Casino — four named tables, and nothing to wade through
Pub Casino's live page names four roulette tables: Lightning Roulette, Mega Roulette, Red Door Roulette and Speed Roulette. It is among the smallest floors on this list, which is exactly why it suits a player who wants an ordinary single-zero session without a catalogue to search. The list is ordered by our score, which counts live tables as one criterion among many, so a short floor does not keep a casino near the top. Page read 25 August 2026.
MrQ — prints the return figure for Lightning Roulette itself
MrQ names ten roulette titles, including Lightning Roulette, Mega Roulette, Speed Roulette and a 20p Roulette, and, unusually, lists a return-to-player figure for the game on its own live page: 97.30% for Lightning Roulette. Most casinos leave that number to the studio's help screen. The figure is the casino's statement as published on 25 August 2026, not a measurement of ours, and it equals the 2.70% edge of an ordinary European wheel.
PokerStars Casino — 22 titles, including the variants that change the maths
PokerStars Casino names 22 roulette titles on its live page, from American Roulette and Double Ball Roulette to Cash Collect Roulette, Fireball Roulette and Quantum Roulette. The American wheel is the one worth noticing: it carries a second zero and costs more than double the European one per spin, a difference the table further down puts in pounds. Its page does not name a studio in our record, so we cannot say who runs the tables. Page read 26 September 2026.
Slotboss — a lobby that overlaps almost wholly with another casino's
SlotBoss names 18 roulette titles, with branded tables such as Bellagio Roulette, MGM Grand Roulette and Vegas Mega Fire Blaze Roulette alongside the standard Lightning and Mega formats. Fourteen of the titles in its list also appear on 21.co.uk's page, which suggests the two share a games platform. Worth knowing before you treat them as two separate choices: the wheels are the same, and what differs between them is the bonus and the terms around the wheel. Page read 19 September 2026.
Spin Casino — software wheels listed beside the live ones
Spin Casino's roulette page names 19 titles, and the list includes software wheels as well as live tables: American Roulette, European Roulette, French Roulette and themed games such as Immortal Romance Roulette. French Roulette is the one to look for: where the casino applies its even-money rule, the edge on those bets halves. Software roulette runs on a random number generator rather than a physical wheel, and the odds are the same. Page read 19 September 2026.
What a wheel costs: the house edge by variant
Roulette has no skill element, so the whole difference between two wheels is arithmetic: how many pockets there are and what a winning bet pays. Dividing the pockets into the payout gives the casino's edge, and it is fixed for the life of the game. The table shows the four wheels you will meet at a British casino.
| Variant | Pockets | Straight-number payout | House edge | Per £100 staked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| European | 37 (0 to 36) | 35 to 1 | 2.70% | £2.70 |
| French, with La Partage on even-money bets | 37 (0 to 36) | 35 to 1 | 1.35% on even-money bets, 2.70% on the rest | £1.35 on even-money bets |
| American | 38 (0, 00 and 1 to 36) | 35 to 1 | 5.26% | £5.26 |
| Mini (0 to 12), half back on zero | 13 | 11 to 1 | 7.69% on numbers, 3.85% on even-money bets | £7.69 on numbers |
Calculated from the pocket count and the payout, not read from a casino. The French figure applies only where the table pays half of an even-money stake back when the ball lands on zero.
The only variant where the choice of wheel costs you more than double is American, which is the same game with one extra pocket. If a lobby offers both American and European, the European one is the same bet at half the price, and nothing else about the session changes.
Every bet costs the same, with one exception
On a European wheel every bet carries the same 2.70% edge. A straight-number bet pays more when it wins and wins less often; an even-money bet is the reverse. Because the payout is set to match the odds, no bet is cheaper than another, and mixing them changes how often you win, not what the session costs.
| Bet | Pays | Numbers covered | Chance of winning a spin | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Straight up | 35 to 1 | 1 | 2.70% | 2.70% |
| Split | 17 to 1 | 2 | 5.41% | 2.70% |
| Street | 11 to 1 | 3 | 8.11% | 2.70% |
| Corner | 8 to 1 | 4 | 10.81% | 2.70% |
| Six line | 5 to 1 | 6 | 16.22% | 2.70% |
| Dozen or column | 2 to 1 | 12 | 32.43% | 2.70% |
| Red or black, odd or even, high or low | 1 to 1 | 18 | 48.65% | 2.70% |
European wheel, 37 pockets. On an American wheel the chances fall to a thirty-eighth, a nineteenth and so on, the payouts stay the same, and the house edge on every bet except one is 5.26%.
The exception is the American five-number bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. It pays 6 to 1 and costs 7.89%, which makes it the worst bet at any roulette table. If you see it on a layout, it is there to be avoided.
Live roulette, game-show roulette and the numbers they print
A live table puts a real wheel and a human croupier on a stream, and the maths is the same as a software wheel: the pockets decide the edge. What changes is the format. Studios have built wheels with extra features on top, and those features are paid for by a change somewhere else in the payout table. Lightning Roulette is the best-known example. It adds randomly chosen numbers with large multipliers and cuts the base payout on a straight-number bet below 35 to 1 in return.
The figure to read is the return-to-player the game states, not the size of the multiplier on the poster. MrQ prints one on its own live page for Lightning Roulette, 97.30%, read on 25 August 2026; that is the same as a plain European wheel, so the multipliers redistribute the return rather than raise it. Where a casino prints no figure, the studio's information panel inside the game does. It is worth the thirty seconds before a first stake.
Auto roulette tables spin without a croupier on a continuous loop, which makes the rounds quicker. The edge per spin is unchanged, but the number of spins per hour is higher, so a session costs more per hour than a croupier table at the same stake. That is the sort of difference a quick-looking game conceals.
Streaks, systems and why the wheel has no memory
Every spin is independent. A wheel that has landed on black eight times is exactly as likely to land on black on the ninth spin as on the first, and no sequence of bets turns a negative expectation positive. What systems change is the shape of the loss, not its size, which is the part they do not advertise.
The Martingale is the one most often sold. You double the stake after every loss so that one win recovers everything. The table shows the cost of a run of losses starting from £5 on red.
| Losses in a row | Chance on a European wheel | Chance on an American wheel | Next stake required | Total lost so far |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 13.54% | 14.58% | £40 | £35 |
| 5 | 3.57% | 4.04% | £160 | £155 |
| 7 | 0.94% | 1.12% | £640 | £635 |
| 8 | 0.48% | 0.59% | £1,280 | £1,275 |
| 10 | 0.13% | 0.16% | £5,120 | £5,115 |
Even-money bet, starting at £5 and doubling after every loss. A table maximum stops the sequence before the arithmetic does: when the required stake exceeds the limit, you cannot place it.
The system wins a small amount very often and loses a large amount rarely, which is the same expected loss presented as a pattern. The casino's table limit exists precisely to cap the doubling, and your own balance caps it sooner. Treat the progression as a way to make a bad session longer, not better.
What a session actually costs
Edge is an average over very many spins. For a session you can plan with it: staking £5 on each of 100 spins puts £500 through the wheel, and the long-run cost of that is £13.51 on a European wheel and £26.32 on an American one. The result of any single session will land well either side of those figures, because a hundred spins is a small sample, and that spread is the reason people remember winning nights.
Seen the other way round, the edge says how much of what you stake the casino keeps. It is not a promise about the next hour, and it says nothing about how many hours to play. The practical use of the number is comparing wheels and deciding what to stake, not predicting a result.
Roulette and bonus wagering
Roulette is the game most welcome offers treat least kindly. Many terms exclude it from wagering altogether, and others count it at a fraction of the stake, so £100 of roulette may clear £10 or £20 of the requirement, or nothing. A bet on both red and black cancels itself out and terms commonly void it.
The terms that apply sit in the promotion's own small print, not on the lobby page, and they are checked after the deposit clears. Read the game-weighting line before you claim anything you intend to play at a wheel. Our guide to the terms that void winnings sets out the clauses to look for.
How to read a roulette lobby
A lobby shows names, and a name is not a rule. Before staking, open the game's information panel and check three things: the number of zeros on the wheel, whether even-money bets get half back or are locked in on zero, and what the table's minimum and maximum bets are. These three lines decide more of the cost than anything on the lobby tile.
Titles with a brand name in front of them, such as a casino's own or a hotel's, are the same studio game under a private label, not a different wheel. Where two casinos list the same names, you are looking at one platform.
Playing roulette within your limits
Roulette is a fast game with simple bets, which makes it easy to stake more than you intended in a short time. The tools that work are set before you start: a deposit limit on the account, a reality check at an interval you choose, and a time-out if a session has stopped being a pastime. Every UK-licensed casino must offer them.
If gambling is causing harm, GAMSTOP excludes you from every UK-licensed online casino at once, and the National Gambling Helpline is free and open every day. Our responsible gambling page lists the services with their numbers and hours.
What the whole catalogue looks like behind this list
A category page shows the casinos that meet one rule. It is worth knowing what the rest of the catalogue looks like on the measures that apply to all of them, because those are the facts a single rule cannot capture.
We hold 59 British-licensed casinos here, every one of them resolving in the Gambling Commission register to a named licensee with an active licence — that is the entry condition for appearing in any list on this site, including this one. Of those, 47 have had their own banking, help, terms and responsible-gambling pages read by us, and the average casino has 47.6 of our hundred rating points assessed. Where that figure falls below 40 we publish no score out of ten — a number built from a fraction of the method describes our reading rather than the casino — and print how many of the checks we could run were passed instead.
The disclosure picture across those 59 operators is the part most worth carrying into any category. 40 name an alternative dispute resolution provider on their own pages — the only stage of a complaint where somebody independent can order an operator to pay. 12 name an independent testing house. 3 publish a return-to-player figure anywhere, which is the number that decides what playing actually costs. 32 publish the verification documents they will ask for, and 14 say when they will ask for them.
On the regulator's side, 38 of the 59 have a Gambling Commission enforcement case published in the last five years against the company behind them, or against their site under an earlier licensee. Across the whole mirrored feed that is 74 cases totalling £149,654,854, and each one appears on the review of every brand that licensee operates — including any that appear in the list above. A penalty against a company is a fact about all of its brands, not only the one named in the headline.
Of the welcome offers we have read in full, 23 carry a recorded date on their terms and 12 attach no wagering requirement at all. That second figure is the one worth remembering when a large headline bonus appears next to a small one: the small offer with no wagering is frequently worth more.
Our verdict on roulette casinos
Choose the wheel before the casino. A European or French wheel costs half what an American one does, and a casino that names a handful of single-zero tables serves you better than one with fifty game-show variants you do not need. Use the titles in the list to see what a lobby holds, read the return the game prints, and treat the bonus as the thing most likely to cost you at this table, not the wheel.
