What turns into cash once the wagering is met is a separate pot the terms call Pending Winnings, meaning whatever the play has won along the way, while "any remaining bonus balance will remain active until spent, forfeited, or expires". The headline's 100% up to £100 therefore describes extra stakes, and what they are worth depends on what they win before the clock stops.

That clock is short, and the banner does state it: 48 hours to accept, then 3 days to wager the bonus 10x. The fuller terms add how acceptance works and what the deadline costs. The bonus and the spins arrive only if the player accepts them in a pop-up message; if they have not been accepted in time, "they will not be credited". And "If wagering has not been completed by expiry, the entire bonus balance (bonus + pending winnings) shall be removed". The 100 free spins, at 10p each, run on a second track of the same shape: 48 hours to accept, then 3 days to use them and to wager their winnings 10x. The order in which money is staked is not in the banner at all. "Your Cash balance will be used before any bonus", and cash stakes count towards the requirement and "may fulfil these before bonus funds are used". Once there are winnings, the stated order of spend is pending winnings first, then cash, then bonus. The bonus is therefore the last money to be risked, behind the player's own cash, and a player can reach the end of the requirement with the bonus balance untouched and still not withdrawable.

Where the bonus can be played is narrower than the banner's "selected games" suggests. The operator does the arithmetic of both requirements itself, and printing it is the clearest thing on the page. For the match it writes: "if a player deposits £20 and receives a bonus of £20, they will be required to wager £20 x 10 = £200." For the spins: "if a player wins £10, they will be required to wager £10 x 10 = £100." Those are the operator's own worked examples, and they show what the separate-and-in-order rule means in practice — the turnover from the match has to be completed before the turnover attached to the spin winnings begins, each inside its own 3 days.

The games the turnover has to run through are named, and that makes part of its cost checkable. A pair of clauses limits how the turnover may be produced. The bonus terms exclude what they call minimal risk wagering — "betting patterns designed to minimise risk such as hedging, opposite betting, or placing substantially equal wagers on opposing outcomes, including coordinated play" — and such stakes do not count towards the requirement at all. A separate clause states the consequence of trying: any attempt to breach the terms "may result in the voiding of any related bonus and winnings, and exclusion from participation in future promotions". On a bonus that can only be played on 7 slots, hedging is largely theoretical; the clause matters because it also covers coordinated play between accounts.

Eligibility is written for a brand that belongs to a newspaper group, and the exclusions say so. The offer is for new UK residents aged 18 or over who have not previously held a thesunvegas.co.uk account, with registration and identity verification required, and a player is "only entitled to one new customer offer at the point in which they create an account". Duplicate accounts are addressed directly: where more than one account has been used to participate, the operator reserves the right to withhold payment of any promotional amount earned on the duplicates. One clause about the spins is easy to read past and decides when money becomes money. Where free spins are active, any pending winnings they generate "will remain until all Free Spins have been used and wagering requirements are met", and the terms add that this applies "even where wagering requirements are not applied". So spin winnings stay pending until the last of the 100 spins has been played, whether or not a turnover requirement is attached to them — a player who stops halfway through the spins leaves the winnings in a state they cannot withdraw.

There are 2 terms that decide the price of a bonus and are missing from the offer page. No maximum bet is stated for play while the bonus is active, and no cap is stated on what the bonus or the spins can pay. It is also unclear what happens to winnings from a player's own cash while the bonus is live: one clause holds any winnings generated before the wagering is complete as Pending Winnings, and another says winnings derived from real money can be withdrawn at any time. The offer carries an end date, 31.01.27. When we first captured the promotions page the date printed there was 16.09.26, so it has already moved once.

The operator discloses how customer money is held in terms that should be read before depositing. Its category under the Gambling Commission's ratings is "Not protected – Segregation of customer funds": funds are held separate from company money "in a mixture of bank accounts and in reserve funds which we hold with our payment processors", and the terms say they "are not protected in the event of our insolvency".

The inactivity clause runs on a long clock. An account is deemed inactive after a continuous 24 months without a log-in, with an attempt to contact the player at least a month beforehand and an attempt to repay the deposit balance to the last payment method used. If the account then remains dormant for 5 years from the date it was marked as dormant, it is anonymised and any balance "may be donated to a registered charity" dedicated to problem-gambling research, education and treatment, after a further notice at least a month earlier. A balance that cannot be returned on self-exclusion may be donated in the same way after a reasonable period.

Closure by the operator can be on at least 14 days' written notice, and during any investigation of a prohibited activity the player cannot place gambling transactions, deposit or withdraw. The operator's liability is capped: for a specific gambling transaction at the stake wagered, and otherwise at an aggregate of £5,000, other than winnings that are properly due. The terms also say it owes no legal duty of care in respect of its compliance with regulatory obligations, "including those relating to 'safer gambling', 'social responsibility' or similar".

Safer-gambling settings are partly set for the player. When an account is registered, a default monthly loss limit may be applied; deposit limits can be daily, weekly or monthly, with a decrease taking effect at once and an increase only after a cooling-off period of 24 hours and a confirmation. A deposit limit applies across all websites run by the operator "irrespective of the brand". Self-exclusion runs for a minimum of 6 months up to 5 years and can be requested online or by contacting customer services.
